PRIVACY / PROGNODE

Privacy, with a local-first approach.

This Privacy Policy explains how PROGNODE handles personal information when you visit our website, create an account, manage licenses, contact us, or use cloud-enabled PROGNODE services.

Last updated: October 7, 2026

01 / WHO WE ARE

Controller and contact.

PROGNODE is the service name used throughout this policy. For questions about privacy or personal information, contact us at hello@prognode.io.

The legal operator/controller details will be updated as part of the commercial launch information where required by applicable law.

02 / SCOPE

Where this policy applies.

This policy applies to the public PROGNODE website, the PROGNODE Account service, licensing services, optional Remote Access services and related transactional communications.

It does not replace the privacy policies of third-party websites or services that you may access through external links.

03 / LOCAL FIRST

Industrial process data stays local by design.

PROGNODE is designed around an on-site Core. Raw PLC values, historian records and normal local monitoring operations are intended to remain within the customer's local environment.

Optional remote features may transmit limited information that is necessary to provide the selected remote service, such as remote-client, notification, connection or acknowledgement information.

04 / DATA

Information we may collect.

Depending on how you use PROGNODE, we may process information such as:

  • name and email address;
  • organization or company name;
  • account and organization role;
  • authentication and security data;
  • license, product, subscription and entitlement information;
  • Server ID, installation status, Core version and related activation metadata;
  • Remote Access device, platform, assignment and connection metadata;
  • support or contact correspondence;
  • website usage and performance data where analytics are enabled.
05 / PURPOSE

Why we use information.

We may use personal information to:

  • create and secure accounts;
  • verify email addresses and reset passwords;
  • issue, refresh and manage licenses;
  • manage subscriptions and entitlements;
  • operate optional Remote Access functionality;
  • deliver transactional email;
  • answer technical or commercial questions;
  • protect PROGNODE against abuse, fraud and unauthorized access;
  • understand website performance and usage where analytics consent has been provided;
  • meet applicable legal obligations.
06 / LEGAL BASIS

Legal bases for processing.

Where data protection laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply, processing may rely on one or more of the following bases:

  • performance of a contract or steps requested before entering a contract;
  • legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving PROGNODE;
  • compliance with legal obligations;
  • consent, particularly where required for non-essential analytics or similar technologies.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.

07 / PROVIDERS

Service providers.

PROGNODE uses selected third-party providers where necessary to operate the website and cloud services. These currently include services for:

  • hosting and deployment through Vercel;
  • website analytics through Google Analytics where enabled;
  • business email through Google Workspace;
  • transactional email delivery through Resend;
  • infrastructure and database services used by the account platform.

Providers may process information only to the extent required for the service they provide and subject to their applicable contractual and privacy obligations.

08 / ANALYTICS

Cookies and analytics.

PROGNODE may use analytics and performance technologies to understand how the public website is used and how it performs.

Where consent is legally required, non-essential analytics are intended to operate only after consent has been provided.

More information will be available in the PROGNODE Cookie Policy.

09 / EMAIL

Transactional communications.

Account verification, password reset and similar operational messages may be delivered through our transactional email provider.

These messages are service communications and are different from optional promotional marketing.

PROGNODE does not currently operate a public marketing newsletter.

10 / RETENTION

How long we keep information.

Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide the service, protect account security, resolve disputes or meet applicable legal requirements.

Verification and password-reset credentials are designed to expire after limited periods and are not intended to remain valid indefinitely.

License, subscription and account records may need to be retained after a subscription ends where required for security, accounting, contractual or legal purposes.

11 / TRANSFERS

International processing.

Some service providers used by PROGNODE may process information in countries other than the country in which you are located.

Where required by applicable law, international transfers must use an appropriate legal transfer mechanism or other recognized safeguard.

12 / SECURITY

Protecting information.

PROGNODE uses technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect account and service data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or loss.

No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and for maintaining appropriate security in their own local and industrial environments.

13 / YOUR RIGHTS

Privacy rights.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to:

  • request access to your information;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • request deletion;
  • restrict certain processing;
  • object to certain processing;
  • request data portability where applicable;
  • withdraw consent where processing relies on consent;
  • submit a complaint to an applicable data protection authority.

To make a privacy request, email hello@prognode.io.

14 / CHILDREN

Professional use.

PROGNODE is an industrial software service intended for businesses, industrial users and professional operators. It is not designed or marketed as a service for children.

15 / CHANGES

Updates to this policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy as PROGNODE evolves, new services are introduced, providers change or legal requirements develop.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
