LICENSING / PROGNODEHow licensing works.
Everything about PROGNODE licenses in one place: what you buy, how a license is activated on your Core PC, what works offline and what happens at renewal or expiry.
01 / PLANSOne subscription per PROGNODE Core.
Choose Alarm Monitoring, Historian or Alarm + Historian with a capacity of 100, 250 or 500 configured tags, billed monthly or yearly (yearly includes two months free). Capacities above 500 tags and multi-site agreements are quoted separately.
Purchases are processed by Paddle.com, our merchant of record, which handles payment, invoices, sales tax and refunds.
02 / LICENSE FILEA signed license you keep on site.
After purchase, download your license file (.pgnlicense) from PROGNODE Account › Licenses and import it into PROGNODE Core. The file states your plan, tag capacity and validity, and carries the offline sign-in credential of the person it is assigned to.
Every license is digitally signed by PROGNODE and verified by Core itself. A changed or forged file is rejected.
03 / ACTIVATIONEach license runs on one Core PC.
A license is active on one PROGNODE Core computer at a time. When that PC has internet access, Core activates itself within seconds of importing the license.
Activation is tied to that computer. Copying the license file, or the whole PROGNODE data folder, to another PC does not activate it there.
04 / OFFLINE ACTIVATIONSites without internet are supported.
If the Core PC cannot reach the internet, activate it with two small files:
- In PROGNODE Core, open Sign in › Activation and download the activation request (.pgnreq).
- On any computer with internet, sign in to PROGNODE Account › Installations › Activate offline and upload the request.
- Import the activation file (.pgnact) you receive into PROGNODE Core.
05 / NEW PCMoving to another computer.
Replacing or retiring the Core PC? Release the old installation in PROGNODE Account › Installations, then activate the license on the new PC. The released PC stops being licensed when it next checks in.
06 / OFFLINE OPERATIONRuns on site, without the cloud.
Once activated, monitoring, alarms, historian recording and local sign-in run on the Core PC without an internet connection. PROGNODE Account is used for activation, license updates and the optional Remote Access service.
07 / RENEWAL & EXPIRYClear warnings before anything stops.
- Subscriptions renew automatically through Paddle until cancelled. After a renewal, download the updated license from PROGNODE Account and import it into Core.
- Core shows a warning 7 days before the license expires.
- A 7-day grace period follows the expiry date, during which Core keeps running.
- After the grace period, licensed functions stop. Your configuration and recorded history are kept, and importing a renewed license resumes operation.
08 / CANCELLATIONCancel any time.
Cancel from PROGNODE Account › Subscription › Manage billing. Your license remains valid until the end of the paid period. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
09 / REMOTE ACCESSOptional add-on for off-site devices.
Remote Access lets phones, tablets and the Windows Client reach a Core from outside the plant network: mobile notifications, remote alarm acknowledgement and remote viewing. It is a separate subscription per Core for 5, 10 or 25 devices, billed monthly or yearly.
Devices on the site network never use a Remote Access seat. PROGNODE Account › Remote Access shows how many seats are in use, and revoking a device frees its seat immediately.
10 / TEAM ROLESWho can do what.
Owners, Organization Admins and Billing Admins can buy and manage subscriptions, release installations, activate offline and revoke Remote Access devices. Members can view the account and download license files assigned to them. Portal roles never grant permissions inside Core.
